Light The Way Sarasota!
This December my family is launching a community initiative called "Light the Way Sarasota!": thousands of beautiful candles, each packaged with a QR code linking families to a curated, evergreen site showcasing free local resources, uplifting messages, and practical support for the holiday season and beyond. These candles will be distributed freely across Sarasota to families, schools and neighbors as a reminder of hope and connection.
Why?
My family has overcome disaster more than once, and it was always community and connection that got us through. Access to food, wellness and human friendship has seen us through extreme trauma and hardship, and reminded us that we are never alone. This season, we want to share that message with families in Sarasota, and these candles are the perfect way to do that with warmth, beauty and real life help.
How you can help.
We're currently collating free, local resources to help Sarasota families through hard seasons. We will feature your organization on the evergreen site by offering:

A free service, or resource relevant to Sarasota families (eg. wellness plan, parenting tip sheet, holiday budgeting guide, spiritual encouragement message etc.)

A short description of your mission, so families know where to turn for support.
Impact.
This project will place your contribution directly into the hands of 3,200 families like ours, a chance to bring warmth and practical help to thousands of Sarasota homes this holiday season. It's designed to showcase the best of our city's heart: people and organizations like you who care deeply for this community.
